Tango Quattro
This group of Argentinian musicians based in Madrid, Spain, has been dedicated since 1995 to bringing the fascinating and passionate world of Tango to the listening public.
What gives Tango Quattro and their music a unique and intriguing savour are their arrangements and instrumentation, which are urbane and modern while keeping faith with Tango´s essential roots.
With an ideal combination of musical instruments Tango Quattro is capable of interpreting a repertory which covers the entire history of Tango, from the typical milongas such “El Porteñito” by A. Villoldo, first written in 1903, to the unforgettable heritage of Carlos Gardel and Discépolo, up to the “big city music” of Astor Piazzolla: “Estaciones Porteñas”, “Adios, Nonino”, and “ Milonga del Ángel”.
Tango Quattro created a polished and popular show with Tango dancers entitled “El Arte del Tango”which has been and continues to be a hit in Marbella, Santander, Lugo and Madrid.
The theatres of Madrid, Barcelona, Santander, Lugo, San Sebastian have known Tango Quattro´s performances during the last five years and this group has begun to make itself known in some of Europe´s International Festivals.
